9th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest Winners Announced

The 9th edition of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, held in cooperation with the Ministry of Education was conducted across 22 Toyota showrooms in Oman.

With the successful conclusion of the event, the jubilant winners have now emerged. The Official Prize Distribution Event washeld at various branch locations namely Muscat, Barka, Ibra, Ibri, Sohar, Salalah, Nizwa& Al Kamil.

Here goes the list of the National Winners. Abdullah Abdul Aziz Al Abdullah who hails from Saham is a smart and creative youngster, who won aiPad Mini 2. Aged 6,he wants to become a Police Inspectorlike his fatherwhen he grows up. His proud parents were very happy to have been at the ceremony.

9-year old AlzahraSalim Mohammed Al Hinai, a resident of Bahla was excited to receive aXbox One. Her Father is very proud of her achievement. Alzahrawants to become an Engineer when she grows up.

WhenAlia AshanOudjana’s father received the call from Toyota, ‘he was on the top-of-the-world’. His little girlhad won a Lenovo Laptop i5! Residing at SeebMawaleh, They were delighted receive the prize at a special ceremony held in the showroom. When asked, young Alia charmingly replied that she wanted to be a vehicle engineer in the future.

Other creative and talented national winners were MariyamTalibHamdan Al Balushi from the capital Muscat who won a Sony PS3, RaimanEbrahimSaoud AL MahrazifomSinaw who won a Lenovo Laptop i3; ImanHilal Said fomSeebMawaleh, winner of a Canon 1200D DSLR Camera; Mahmoud MohdAbdulazizYousuf from Saham who won a Lenovo Tab and SundosSaif Abdullah Al Maskri, also from Ibra who took home a Samsung Galaxy Tab. In addition, from Sur, NajeebMahfoodhHamedwon a Toshiba Laptop.

According to a Toyota spokesperson, “Apart from the above 9 National winners, 63 Branch Winners were also declared in the 9th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, Oman. Each branch winner was given a Nikon Coolpix Camera, as the prize, to encourage their creativity”. Every contestant who participated received a Certificate of Participation.

The competition was held on a massive scale in Oman to foster not just an interest in cars but about the role they play in people’s lives. Record number of entries spotlighted the highly successful event. There were 3 age categories – Under 8 years, 8 to 11 years & 12 to 15 years. School children, up to 15-years old visited 22 branch locations between 2nd Nov till 16th Nov ’14 to take part in the contest. In addition, numerous schools across Oman participated in the contest by sending across the entries of their students via the Ministry of Education.

Recalling the highly successful event, an official mentioned, “We were ready for a large number of people. Even so, the staggering numbers exceeded everyone’s estimates! This is the index of Toyota’s popularity in Oman.”

“With such wonderful results, it is more than evident that this annual property of Toyota was yet again successful at inspiring young minds to dream, to imagine. It brought together families and spread many smiles & happiness. Invitations were extended to the winner and their family to be part of a fun filled event and receive the prize in presence of other winners and their families. The winners and the family members turned out in large numbers making these events a roaring success.”

“Toyota Oman has been participating in the event since the 5th edition of TDCAC. We are happy to say that this year, we received the highest number of entries from Oman – since the time Oman started participating. Lot of compelling entries received that show the creativity of the children of Oman!”

In conclusion, he added “Following the brand philosophy of Toyota, ‘Always a better way’, we are constantly trying to reinvent ways to do things in a better way & hope to keep contributing to society in the best ways that we can.”
