The12th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest (TDCAC),held in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, was successfully conducted across Toyota showrooms in Oman.
One of the largest global art contests for children, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest invites children from all corners to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars.
Hundreds of entries were received for the competition, which encourages children to call upon their fertile imagination &creative skills, to design what they think would be a great car for the future. With the successful conclusion of the event, the jubilant winners have now emerged.
The Official Prize Distribution Event for the National Winners was held at the Toyota showroom in Muscat.
The National Winners in the Under 8-years’ category include Hamed Abdul Aziz Al Reasi, who won a Sony Play Station 4, Remas Mohamed Elkaw was who scooped up an Apple iPad 5 and Ahmed Salim Al Hinai who took home an XBOX 360.
In the 8 to 11-years category -Hassan Abdul Rahman Al Mamri, has been awarded a LG 43” UHD TV, Ayah Khalid Al Zeheimi is the winner of a Dell laptop and Zainab Majid Al Zadjali has secured a JBL Sound Bar.
In the 12 to 15-years category the first winner is Al Waleed Khalid Al Salti who received a Samsung S8 phone, Fatma Majid Al Amri who was awarded a Canon DSLR camera and Zainab Khalfan Al Rawahi, who won an LG 43” LED TV.
According to a Toyota spokesperson, “Apart from the above 9 National winners, Branch Winners were also declared in the 12th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, Oman and they each won a LULU Gift Voucher – to encourage them & appreciate their efforts”. Apart from this, every contestant received a Certificate of Participation.
The competition was held on a massive scale in Oman to foster not just an interest in cars but about the role, they play in people’s lives. Numerous schools across Oman participated in the contest by sending across the entries of their students via the Ministry of Education. Recalling the highly successful event, an official mentioned, “We were ready for a large number of people. Even so, the staggering numbers exceeded everyone’s estimates! This is the index of Toyota’s popularity in Oman.”
“With such wonderful results, it is more than evident that this annual event of Toyota was yet again successful at inspiring young minds to dream, to imagine. It brought together people and spread many smiles & happiness. Invitations were extended to the National winners and their families to be part of a fun filled event and receive the prize in presence of other winners and their families. Everyone turned out in large numbers making the event a roaring success,” said the spokesperson.
The spokesperson continued, “Toyota Oman has been participating in the event since the 5th edition of TDCAC. We are happy to say that this year, we received a very high number of entries from Oman – since the time Oman started participating. Lot of compelling entries received that show the creativity of the children of Oman!”
In conclusion, he added “Following the brand philosophy of Toyota, ‘Always a better way’, we are constantly trying to reinvent ways to do things in a better way & hope to keep contributing to the society in the best way that we can.”
