At the first-ever, Toyota online launch event, Saud Bahwan Automotive, unveiled the much-awaited new member of the Toyota family. The all-new 2021 Corolla Cross.
The exciting online event gave visitors a fantastic opportunity to connect and view the proceeding through Toyota Oman’s social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
According to a spokesperson from Toyota Oman, “We wanted our customers all across Oman to get a glimpse of Toyota’s newest addition to the family – the all-new Corolla Cross. We knew the challenges associated with the unique situation that we all are in. But even though we were apart, we wanted our customers to be present and a part of this event. The online event offered customers an opportunity to conveniently experience the benefits of digital technology while staying up-to-date with all the happenings at their favourite brand. All from the comfort of their home. Or wherever they are.”
Raising the bar on the levels of excitement was the Chief Engineer, of the all-new Corolla Cross, Mr. Daizo Kameyama, who joined the event via a special video message. He said, “The concept of the all-new Corolla Cross was ‘Corolla Meets SUV’. The Corolla is a mass-market car that throughout its history has remained ahead of its times. The Corolla series has become a best-seller with cumulative sales of about 48 million cars in more than 150 countries worldwide. It was inevitable and natural that Toyota would offer an SUV model that retains the line’s affordability. The most remarkable characteristics of the Corolla Cross are premium feel and utility that go beyond expectations. We are confident in the appeal of this SUV’s stylish, powerful appearance. Which was designed to evoke ‘Urban Toughness’, particularly its wide stance.”

Sporting a bold profile, the Corolla Cross is powered to amplify arrivals. With a 1.8L engine paired to an electronically controlled CVT transmission. This hybrid electric vehicle produces dynamic acceleration and a world-class fuel efficiency. A wide and tough stance is emphasised by the front grille resulting in a mature front expression. Together with the bumper, the double trapezoid form expresses a bold and stable design. Angular and wrap around design of the headlamps integrated with daytime running lights, flow outwards from the grille. Highlighting its dynamic looks and bolder stance. Sleek defined lines run along the side, culminating at the front of an aerodynamic cabin exuding a sophisticated impression. A muscular wheel arch adds to the sturdy looking lower body.
